Abstract:	V času druge svetovne vojne je bilo v vojaške dolžnosti prvič v zgodovini vključeno veliko število žensk. Zavezniške vojaške sile so v dejavnosti, ki so bile ključnega pomena za vojaško delovanje, ženske vključevale od začetka vojne. Ženske so bile aktivne v partizanskih vojskah po vsej Evropi. Združene države Amerike so oblikovale posebne ženske vojaške enote. Z drugo svetovno vojno se je nevarnost za življenje v okupiranih območjih večala in s tem se je položaj žensk po svetu spremenil.
