Abstract:Pod pojmom vzdrževanje razumemo organizirano dejavnost, s katero ohranjamo delovno sposobnost materialnih sredstev (v nadaljevanju: MS), skozi proces uporabe, z zagotavljanjem vseh pogojev, ki so potrebni za nemoteno delovanje. MS lahko zagotovimo dolgo življenjsko dobo le z natančno opredelitvijo vzdrževalnih del, ter z ustreznim načrtovanjem in doslednim izvajanjem vzdrževanja. V zaključni nalogi sem predstavil pomen vzdrževanja na življenjski cikel MS, osnovne pojme s katerimi se srečujemo pri vzdrževanju, organizacijo vzdrževanja v Slovenski Vojski (v nadaljevanju: SV) in nekaj sodobnih pristopov k vzdrževanju. Dotaknil sem se tudi problematike na področju vzdrževanja in predlagal nekaj rešitev.

Abstract:Maintenance is understood as organized activity, which preserves working capability of material resources (in continuation: MR) through processes of use, with provision of all conditions which are necessary for normal operation. We can assure long service life of MR only with precise definition of maintenance works, proper planning and consistent maintenance. In my thesis I have defined how proper maintenance influences on life cycle of MR, basic concepts which are important for maintenance, organization of maintenance in Slovenian Armed Forces (in continuation: SAF) and some modern approaches to maintenance. I also wrote about problems with maintenance and I have suggested some solutions for these problems.
