Abstract:	Ofenzivno delovanje je način bojnega delovanja, pri katerem je bistvenega pomena izkoriščanje in ohranjanje pobude. Kadar se sovražnik nahaja na določenem zemljišču, začnemo z vrsto prehodnega delovanja, ki se imenuje premik v stik. S premikom v stik skušamo najti sovražnika ali pa z njim ponovno vzpostaviti stik. Premiku v stik lahko sledi več vrst ofenzivnega delovanja, ena izmed njih pa je tudi napad. Bistvo napada je uničiti ali poraziti sovražnika, pridobiti in obdržati določeno zemljišče, izčrpavati sovražnika ali na tak način pridobivati obveščevalne podatke o njem. Pri napadu so sile organizirane na sledeč način: bojne sile, sile za bojno podporo. Znotraj manjše enote pa imamo napadni del, podporni del ter zavarovanje hrbta. Za uspeh v napadu so ključnega pomena načrtovanje in priprave, lahko pa se zgodi, da za to ni časa. Takrat se pokaže izurjenost enote ter sposobnost hitrega odločanja poveljnika.

Abstract:	Offensive operations are combat operations, where gaining and obtaining the initiative is the key to success. When the enemy is stationed on certain terrain, the movement to contact is a form of offensive operation to begin with. By moving to contact, we are trying to find the enemy or make and keep the contact with him. Movement to contact can be followed by different sorts of offensive operations and attack is one of them. The main idea of attack is to destroy or defeat the enemy, seizing and obtaining certain terrain, exhausting the enemy or collecting important intelligence by attacking. The organisation of attacking forces is: battle forces, battle support forces. On the small unit level, the organisation of forces is the attack group, the fire support group and rear protection group. Planning and preparation is the key to success, but there are many occasionʼs where there is no time to do that. At those times the skills of the platoon and commanders ability of quick decision making is at test.
