Abstract:Poveljnik mora imeti informacije o nasprotniku, zemljišču in ostale informacije, če ţeli uspešno uporabiti svojo enoto za predpisano nalogo in le-to uspešno opraviti. Za pridobivanje informacij se uporablja izvidniška patrulja, lahko pa se uporabi patrulja tudi za druge naloge, pri čemer se razlikuje tako po sestavi kot tudi opremi. Druga vrsta je bojna patrulja, poznamo pa še prisotnostno in sledilno patruljo. Vsem patruljam je skupno, da so v naprej načrtovane glede na namen. Tako se patrulja organizira in načrtujev naprej in v detajle. Poleg časa odhoda, trajanja, namena in organizacije, je potrebno v naprej načrtovati elemente kot so kontrolne točke,ciljno zbirno točko, varnostne postanke in podobno. V kolikor gre za dalj časa trajajočo patruljo se v naprej določi tudi pribliţen poloţaj patruljne baze. Vso to načrtovanje pa zahteva dobro poznavanje postopkov patruljiranja. Same patrulje se lahko izvajajo peš ali z vozili.

Another type of patrol is combat patrol, and there are also present patrol and tracking patrol. All patrols have in common that they are planned in advance according to the purpose, so the patrol is organized and planned in advance and in detail. Beside departure time, duration, scope and organization, it is necessary to continue to plan elements such as control points, the objective rally point, safety stops. In the case of the prolonged patrol an approximate patrol base position is planned in advanced. Planning of patrols required good knowledge of battle drills and patrolling.
