Abstract:Bojevanje v naselju je ena najzahtevnejših oblik delovanja.

Abstract:Operations in urban areas are the most demanding operations. Restraints at meneuver, limited zones of activity and observation, shelters before observation and fire, difficulties at locating enemy's fire, close combat, sharpshooters, canalized vehicles, number of victims, support weapons, difficulties at command and control, civilians, devastation - rubble, RCB (radiological, chemical, bilological) danger and combat supply, all this are elements that dictate difficulty. Coalition forces are dealing with combat in urban areas every day. We almost don't come across classic combat any more, rebels are hiding in settlements, where collateral damage can be quickly too large and unacceptable in case of a engagement of high intensity. Therefore special attention must be devoted to operations in urban areas. We must train units, not only that they can finish their task routinely in such environment, but also to come alive from combat. Dispersion of command demands proficiency of commanders and ability to accept critical decisions on lowest tactical levels. When training commanders and units it's good to take advantage of expirience of other states, which have already met with such kindof combat in the past.
