Abstract:Swarming attack in raid sta napada posebnega pomena.

Abstract:Swarming attack and raid are special purpose attacks. The swarming attack seeks to destroy an enemy target through a series of pulsating, coordinated attacks from multiple directions. Conceptually it is broken into four stages: locate, converge, attack, and disperse, all of the stages are repeated in couple of pulses. There are two recognized methods of swarming attacks: massedswarming and dispersed swarming. Both of the methods require three characteristics for success: elusiveness, standoff capability and situational awareness. The swarming attack requires autonomy, mobility, communication and syncronization. Raid's purpose is to gather intelligence items, destroy key enemy facilities or equipment, capture the enemy or liberate personnel. It is not intended to hold terrain. The raiding force breaks down into three main elements: the security team, the support team, which is responsible for the shock effect, and the assaulting team. The raid operation always ends with a planned withdrawal. The element of surprise is the key to successful raid, andplanning is crucial.
