Abstract:S popolnjevanjem določenih dolžnosti v strukturi zavezništva, pripadniki SV uresničujejo cilje integracije, zagotavljajo uveljavljanje nacionalnega interesa in pridobivajo znanja in sposobnosti ter izkušnje pomembne za nacionalne potrebe in njihov profesionalni razvoj. Organiziranje in delovanje mirnodobne strukture Slovenske vojske v tujini ima izhodišča v nacionalnih dokumentih in predpisih RS, sklenjenih mednarodnih sporazumih, sklepih vlade RS in aktih vodenja in poveljevanja.

By doing so, on one hand national and integration goals were achieved and on the other hand this was also a good opportunity for national military representatives to gain important international experiences and enhance one’s own, professional growths. Peacetime establishment of the Slovenian Armed Forces abroad joins the SAF members on duties such as: national military representatives and missions, members’ witin NATO command and forces structure, representatives in different facilities, institutes, international organizations and bodies, within multinational commands and staffs. When appointed on duty abroad Slovenian armed forces members face different challenges, not only professional but also personal. This challenges are related to theirs and theirs family life. Usually they face two options either they have to separate from family (living family in Slovenia) or family have to move in completely new, foreign environment.
