Abstract:V članku so pojasnjeni dejavniki, ki jih povezujemo s prostovoljno fluktuacijo pripadnic in pripadnikov Slovenske vojske (SV). Pričujoča analiza individualnih zaznav delovnega mesta in pričakovanj pripadnikov SV predstavlja delne rezultate projekta Zadrževanje kadrov v SV. Osredotoča se na kvalitativne podatke iz intervjujev z nekdanjimi pripadniki SV in na odprte odgovore iz ankete med stalno sestavo SV s poudarkom na prepoznavanju dejavnikov in ne na merjenju njihove moči ter vpliva. Nakazujejo se potreba po osmišljanju dela, določeno razočaranje nad vrednotami, pričakovanje, da bo nadrejeni avtoriteto vzpostavil na vodenju z zgledom, in zaznava nizkih osnovnih dohodkov ter nezadovoljstvo nad nestabilnim plačilom dodatnega dela.

Language:EnglishTitle:»Camaraderie doesn’t buy bread«Abstract:This article highlights the factors associated with voluntary turnover of members of the Slovenian Armed Forces (SAF). The present analysis of individual job perceptions and expectations of SAF members presents partial results of the project Retention of SAF personnel. It focuses on qualitative data from interviews with former SAF members and open-ended survey responses among the current SAF members, with an emphasis on identifying diverse factors rather than measuring their power and influence. The following emerge: (a) the need to make work meaningful; (b) some disillusionment with values; (c) the expectation that authority will be built on leading by example; (d) perceptions of low basic income and dissatisfaction with unstable pay for additional work.Keywords:military values, personnel turnover, vertical relations, personal income
