The findings of the research indicate the necessity for continual technological advancement and the development of appropriate capabilities for the effective detection, tracking, and neutralization of threats in the national airspace. Collaboration with NATO and other international partners is also crucial, as it further strengthens national security and enhances responsiveness to threats. The proposals we have formulated based on the research findings aim to improve existing capabilities and to develop and integrate new ones into a unified defence system for Slovenia, with particular attention to adapting capabilities to address threats posed by civilian aircraft used for terrorist purposes. The article also clearly emphasizes the need for a holistic approach to studying air power, which includes technological, operational, and organizational aspects to achieve and maintain air superiority and ensure the security and sovereignty of Slovenian airspace. | Keywords: | air domain, airspace defence, contemporary security threats |
