Language: | English | Title: | Data analysis for better decision-making | Abstract: | The public sector salary system in Slovenia includes over 170,000 employees, for whom more than 4 billion euros are allocated annually. In this article, we present how, with the help of legislation on access to public information, this data can be obtained and how various analyses can be carried out on its basis. With the data about salaries of civic servants, we can analyse salary trends, analysis of salary supplements, impact of management changes on wages, analysis of promotions, etc. These data enable various simulations that can be the basis for more effective wage reforms and various reorganizations.
