Abstract:Hiter razvoj, uporaba in razpoložljivost tehnologije ustvarjajo nove priložnosti na vseh področjih človekovega življenja. Količina ustvarjenih podatkov je ogromna, temu pa sledi napredek pri zbiranju, obdelavi in analizi velikih podatkov za različne namene, kot so različne industrije, znanost, zdravstvo in tudi izobraževanje. Cilj podatkovne znanosti v izobraževanju je bolje razumeti in izboljšati učne procese s pomočjo vpogledov, ki temeljijo na podatkih. Učna analitika proučuje, kako uporabiti podatkovno rudarjenje, strojno učenje, obdelavo jezika, vizualizacijo in pristope interakcije med človekom in računalnikom, da bi učencem, izobraževalcem ter vodjem institucij pomagali izboljšati učne procese in prakso poučevanja.

The amount of data generated is enormous, followed by advances in the collection, processing and analysis of big data for a range of purposes, such as various industries, science, healthcare and even education. Data science in education aims to better understand and improve learning processes through data-driven insights. Learning analytics studies how to use data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, visualisation and human-computer interaction approaches to help learners, educators and institutional leaders improve learning processes and teaching practices.Keywords:education, data analysis, learning analytics
