Abstract:	V članku bomo v začetnem delu predstavili gorsko bojevanje in pojasnili posamezne pojme, ki so povezani z gorskim bojevanjem. V nadaljevanju se bomo osredotočili na bojevanje v sodobnem času, vključno z gorskim bojevanjem, ter pomembnost gorskega sveta v prihodnosti. Ob koncu začetnega dela bomo predstavili trenutno stanje gorskih enot v Slovenski vojski. V drugem delu bomo predstavili izzive, s katerimi se spoprijema Slovenska vojska na področju gorskega bojevanja, v zaključnem delu pa našo vizijo razvoja Slovenske vojske in gorskega bojevanja, s katero predstavljamo tudi nekatere rešitve kot odgovor na izzive, ki bodo predstavljeni v članku.
