Abstract:Ocena teroristične ogroženosti Republike Slovenije je trenutno ocenjena kot nizka, vendar možnosti terorističnega napada v prihodnosti ne smemo zanemariti. V letu 2020 se je manj kot 400 kilometrov od Ljubljane, na Dunaju, zgodil teroristični napad, ob katerem je bila poleg policije angažirana tudi vojska (vojaška policija). Ob morebitnem kompleksnem terorističnem napadu bo tako tudi v Sloveniji ključno hitro, učinkovito in usklajeno delovanje vseh deležnikov boja proti terorizmu v Republiki Sloveniji. Za hiter in učinkovit odziv sta ključna predhodna identifikacija primernih zmogljivosti ter zakonska podlaga za angažiranje in zakonito delovanje. Slovenska vojska ima zmogljivosti in zakonsko podlago za zakonito izvajanje nalog zoperstavljanja terorizmu. Ena ključnih enot namenjena za protiteroristično delovanje je Specializirana enota vojaške policije.

Abstract:The assessment of the terrorist threat to the Republic of Slovenia is currently assessed as low, but the possibility of a terrorist attack in the future should not be neglected. In 2020, less than 400 kilometers from Ljubljana, in Vienna, a terrorist attack took place, in which, in addition to the police, the army (military police) was also engaged. In the event of a possible terrorist attack, a rapid, efficient and coordinated action of all stakeholders in the fight against terrorism in the Republic of Slovenia will be crucial in Slovenia as well. Prior identification of suitable capabilities and the legal basis for engagement are crucial for a rapid and effective response. Slovenian Armed Forces have the capabilities and legal basis for the lawful implementation of counter-terrorism tasks. One of the key units dedicated to counter-terrorism is Specialized Military Police Unit.
