Language:EnglishAbstract:The field of my research covers the course of e-commerce. The object of my research is daily encounter with e-commerce, especially with frauds occurring in the process and the means of defense to avoid such harmful events. The Internet has become a very important business tool. The potential of the Internet is practically unlimited, and its services are already indispensable to the society. Most organizations are founded in a way to use at least one way of the web access for its normal functioning. The number of the Internet users is increasing daily due to affordable prices of both, the Internet providers and computer hardware. In the light of recent events that shook the World, the idea for my thesis occurred to me by itself. In fact, Wiki Leaks is only a mirror of all the activities that are occurring on the web and in the world, and the way that Julian Assange and his followers acquired the infamous data is today totally usual % therefore, anyone can encounter this type of abuse, the question is whether the victim would recognize it as such. The overall knowledge of computer skills among the population is on a fairly low level. Careless web browsing can bring a lot of inconveniences. Company employees that shorten their work time by browsing the web or by visiting online chat rooms and making new - virtual friends, businessmen and government officials on a visit abroad, dealing with nostalgia by visiting social networks % all these forms of entertainment which at first seem very simple and innocent can quickly lead to major consequences. If we browse the Internet using a corporate computer it becomes a potential target of attack. Corporate computers can dispose with a large number of important data or databases loaded that can become alienated. In fact, electronic commerce has a very large defect that is extremely difficult to remove % the user. Since my work environment is closely linked to electronic commerce, I wanted to write a thesis that can later assist me to raise the awareness of my colleagues and business secretaries, perhaps even some mentors, about the dangers that lurk on users of electronic commerce. There is no doubt in my mind that many readers of this thesis will recognize themselves in the role of the victim or at least recognize their own risky habits. Before writing this thesis I thought that the thesis itself would enter too much in the field of computer science, but I am sure that this level of knowledge must be considered as basic knowledge for each financial secretary that wants to use a computer safely. In the process of electronic commerce, naivety and ignorance cannot and should not be an excuse for later consequences.
