Abstract:Terorizem je ena najpogostejših tem dnevnih poročil zadnjih nekaj let.

Terrorist threat in Europe, especially in the UK, which used to be represented by IRA in late nineties was slowly taken over by Al Qaida. Al Qaida expanded terrorist threat on a worldwide level. Despite the fact that those organizations operated in different time frame, they share some similarities. Driven by its violent ideology Al Qaida uses more lethal tactics which causes more casualties. Both organizations with their terrorist acts caused a lot of dead and casualties among civilian population. Keywords:terrorism, terrorist organizations, IRA, Al Qaida, bomb attacks
