Abstract:Obveščevalna zagotovitev je ključna za pripravo in uresničevanje poslanstva namensko oblikovane enote - bataljonske bojne skupine.

Providing intelligence is a combat function enabling the commander successful leadership and execution of all tasks within the combat range. Comprehensive knowledge of the enemy, the environment and the circumstances is based on information processes through the intelligence cycle which includes uninterrupted process of various intelligence bodies. Integration means that all members of the unit take part in the process, from tactical elements of base units to specially designed units for gathering and processing data that provide vital support for the commander and the headquarters of the battalion combat unit. Therefore it is essential that every insignificant observation by the soldier is processed because it may help to comprehend the activities carried out by the enemy, this way contributing to the success of the task. Keywords:battalion battle group, offensive operation, defensive operation, intelligence processing, task reporting, staff operation, commander's decision making process.
