Abstract:Kadri postajajo najpomembnejši vir in strateška prednost vsake organizacije. Razvoj kadrov je sistematičen in načrtovan proces vseh izobraževalnih in drugih postopkov namenjenih strokovnemu in osebnostnemu razvoju zaposlenih. V prvem delu naloge so predstavljena teoretična izhodišča načrtovanja in razvoja kadrov, kariernih poti ter pomen izobraževanja, znanja, učenja in usposabljanja. Slovenska vojska ima izdelan sistem vojaškega izobraževanja in usposabljanja, ki zagotavlja razvoj znanja in kompetenc. Predmet raziskovanja je povezava med izobraževalnim sistemom v Slovenski vojski, pridobivanjem znanja in kompetencami. Izobraževanje in usposabljanje v Slovenski vojski podpirata razvoj kariere posameznika tako, da omogočata postopno pridobivanje vseh kompetenc, ki so potrebne na določenem delovnem mestu. Kariera posameznika je odvisna od znanja, usposobljenosti, izkušenj, motivacije ter vseh drugih kompetenc, ki so potrebne za opravljanje dela v neki organizacijski enoti. V zadnjem delu je na primeru predstavljena primerjava kompetenc posameznika s kompetencami delovnega mesta in individualni razvojni načrt.

Human resource development is a systematic and planned process in all education and other procedures ensuring professional and personal development of employees. The first part of the paper presents theoretical foundations for the planning and development of human resources and career paths, as well as the importance of education, knowledge, learning and training. The Slovenian Armed Forces have created a system of military education and training, which ensures the development of knowledge and competences. The research concentrates on the link between the education system in the Slovenian Armed Forces, the acquisition of knowledge and competences. Education and training in the Slovenian Armed Forces supports the development of individual%s careers so as to allow for a gradual acquisition of all competences needed in a particular workplace. An individual%s career depends on the knowledge, skills, experiences, motivation and other competences needed to perform work in an organizational unit. The final part of the paper uses the example of a Slovenian Armed Forces member to present a comparison between individual%s competences and job competences and an individual%s development plan.Keywords:education, knowledge, competences, human resources, career, career path, Slovenian Armed Forces
