Abstract:Slovenija je predvidela delovanje svoje bataljonske skupine v mednarodnem okolju.

Title:A Tank company in the role of an increased capacity of the motorised infantry battalion
Abstract:Slovenia has planned a participation of the battalion group in the international environment. The battalion group was intended to be composed of units of motorized battalions. But in this case the battalion group would not have sufficient firepower which is required in the Bi-SC Agreed Capability Codes and Capability Statements (a document that defines the structure and capabilities of the battalion group). This encouraged the idea of adding a tank company to battalion group. This work is actually considering the firepower of the battalion group, which would contain the tank company and the firepower required by the Bi-SC Agreed Capability Codes and Capability Statements. It also covers various aspects of the joint actions of the tank company and the motorized battalion. This work is trying to prove that adding a tank company to the motorized troops is only the first step to satisfy the requirements in the Bi-SC Agreed Capability Codes and Capability Statements. But it does not mean that such battalion group could successfully perform mission on the battlefield. It stresses very clearly negative implications of the joint actions of tanks and wheeled armored personal carriers. The work points out that the Slovenian army needs infantry fighting vehicles and tanks for the defense of the Slovenia.
Keywords:tank, armored personal carrier, firepower
