Language: | English | Title: | E-learning as a CIMIC project in crisis response operations | Abstract: | Development of ICT has enormous impact on our lives. Also, the development of ICT has unprecedented impact on the educational process. There is increasing emphasis on electronic education (e - education). Electronic learning (e - learning) is a form of distance education, which has a much longer tradition than history of the Internet, which was widely established in 90%s. It is a modern form of education that enables students to learn at home or another environment outside the conventional classroom. Due to free choice of where and when learning is done, we can say that distance learning form of education is directed to the participant. It is a way to acquire new skills and test their existing skills. Learning is individual, time, content and pace of learning, is tailored to one own abilities and skills. E-education is education which is carried out by means of modern information and communication technologies (ICTs). Educational content, communication between participants and tutors, and other educational activities are in electronic form. The final paper theoretical part defines e - learning with an emphasis on combined learning. Empirical part, at the beginning, covers research issues and hypotheses, methodology, research methods, research sample and data collection procedures. This is followed by the presentation of the quantitative research results, discussion and interpretation. In my study I was interested in whether the assistants in the field of civil military cooperation, are familiar with the combined method of learning, are they interested in this form of education and training and whether they consider this form of education relevant in order to offer it to the educational institutions in the area of stabilization. | Keywords: | e-learning, e-education, military education and training, civil-military cooperation, Slovenian Armed Forces, international operations and missions |
