Abstract:	Namen prispevka je predstaviti perspektivo raziskovalnih metod, ki se uporabljajo v obrambnih študijah. Avtor postavlja tezo, da se v obrambnih študijah uporabljajo raziskovalne metode različnih znanstvenih disciplin, tako družboslovnih kot naravoslovnih. Čeprav se v znanstvenem diskurzu stalno iščejo nove raziskovalne metode in tehnike, tudi s pomočjo njihovega mešanja, se zdi, da metodologija znanstvenih raziskav v obrambnih študijah še vedno predstavlja neraziskano področje med raziskovalci obrambnih študij in strateškimi »think-tank« središči, ki se ukvarjajo z obrambnimi in vojaškimi vprašanji. Predpostavljamo lahko, da so raziskovalne metode, ki se uporabljajo v obrambnih študijah, še vedno v fazi razvijanja, zato se uporabljajo različne metodologije, izposojene iz različnih znanstvenih disciplin.

Title:	Research methods in defence studies
Abstract:	The aim of this paper is to present the perspective of the research methods used in defence studies. The author puts forward the thesis that research methods from different scientific disciplines, both social and natural sciences, are used in defence studies. Although new research methods and techniques are constantly being sought in the scientific discourse, including by mixing them, the methodology of scientific research in defence studies still seems to be an unexplored area among defence studies researchers and the strategic think-tank centres addressing defence and military issues. It can be assumed that the research methods used in defence studies are still in the development phase, which is why different methodologies borrowed from different scientific disciplines are used.
