Abstract:V zaključni nalogi opisujemo zmogljivost neposredne zračne podpore, ki jo v Slovenski vojski večinoma izvajamo z lahkimi bojnimi letali Pilatus PC-9M Hudournik.

Language:EnglishAbstract:In the final thesis, we describe the close air support capability, which is in the Slovenian Armed Forces mostly carried out with Pilatus PC-9M Hudournik light combat aircraft. In the first part, we describe close air support throughout history in the Slovenian Armed Forces. In the following, we present the existing capability of light attack aircraft Hudournik and the joint terminal attack controllers, and describe the equipment currently used to perform close air support. Later, we describe advances in technology where we focus on digitally aided close air support. Based on the findings, we make proposals for upgrading the light attack aircraft Hudournik, which would improve the capability of close air support by establishing a digital data connection between light attack aircraft Hudournik and joint terminal attack controllers, which would enable effective support of Slovenian Armed Forces ground units. Keywords:Pilatus Hudournik, light attack aircraft, close air support, digitally aided close air support, joint terminal attack controller
