Abstract:Slovenija je predvidela delovanje bataljonske skupine v mednarodnem okolju.

The battalion group was intended to be composed of a motorized battalion with some added elements. The battalion group without tanks would not have sufficient firepower which is required in Bi-SC Agreed Capability Codes and Capability Statements (a document that defines the structure and the capabilities of a battalion group). Adding a tank company to a battalion group would increase its firepower and it should reach required capabilities. In that case it is possible to add a tank platoon to a motorized company. This work notes the impact of joint actions of tanks and wheeled armored personal carriers on mobility, maneuver, offensive and defensive operations on a company level. It also notes that adding a tank platoon to a motorized company is only a step to fulfill requirements in Bi-SC Agreed Capability Codes and Capability Statements. Such company group would accomplish its work on the battlefield but it still would not reach required capabilities. The work also points out that reaching required capabilities should not be the final goal of equipping motorized units. Keywords:tank, armored personal carrier, capability, firepower
