Abstract:	Sodelovanje Slovenske vojske in njene predhodnice Teritorialne obrambe s civilno družbo ima v Sloveniji dolgo tradicijo. Spremenjene družbene razmere, tako v politiki, družbi, odnosih med državljani, kakor tudi spremenjena vloga in naloge vojske, profesionalizacija, prehod na poklicne oborožene sile imajo velik vpliv na spremenjen odnos civilne družbe do vojske. Zato sta se spremenila tudi vloga in pomen civilno-vojaškega sodelovanja. S profesionalizacijo se povečuje nevarnost odtujitve vojske iz civilnega okolja, zato mora vojska s pomočjo civilno-vojaškega sodelovanja nenehno graditi spoštovanje, zaupanje in dobre medsebojne odnose v slehernem delu Republike Slovenije. Slovenski vojski pa mora to sodelovanje prinašati prepoznavnost in promocijo v družbi, tako vojaške institucije, kot vojaškega poklica, nekoč tako spoštovanega in cenjenega v sleherni družbi. Slovenska vojska ne sme zaspati na lovorikah zelo visokega zaupanja ljudi v vojaško institucijo, ampak mora nadaljevati aktivnosti na vseh področjih. Posebno pozornost mora poleg zastavljenih nalog posvetiti tudi kontinuiranemu razvoju civilno-vojaškega sodelovanja.

The change of conditions in society as in politics, economy, relations among citizens as well as changing role and mission of armed forces and its professionalization has huge impact on changing relation between civil society and armed forces. That causes also the change of role and significance of civ-mil co-operation. With the professionalization there is danger of alienation of armed forces from civil environment so military must thru civ-mil co-operation constantly built respect, confidence and good relations in every part of the Republic of Slovenia. Slovenian Armed Forces have to gain its image and promotion in society as a military institution and military profession that once upon the time has been respected and praised in any society through this co-operation. Slovenian Armed Forces should not rest on laurels of great confidence that people place in military institution and on the contrary it should continue activities in all fields. Special attention should be put on continuous development of civ-mil relations besides professional tasks.
