Language: | English | Abstract: | The modern international security environment of the 21st century is complex and unpredictable. It faces security risks and threats that appear in various forms, including hybrid threats. Recent armed conflicts, including the war in Ukraine, require NATO to become more responsive, resilient, and ready to react quickly in the event of an armed conflict. In this context, the importance of military logistics is increasing, as logistical support for military operations can often determine the outcome between victory and defeat. Given the changed security environment, the Slovenian Armed Forces will need to undergo structural, functional, and capacity transformations in the field of logistics. These transformations will enable the establishment of a robust logistical system system capable of effectively supporting the operations of the Slovenian Armed Forces in peace, emergency situations, and war. | Keywords: | logistic support, geometry of the battlefield, organization of the logistic units |
