Abstract:Poklic vojaškega pilota in tehnika letalca zahteva visoko stopnjo psihofizičnih sposobnosti, saj morajo ti pripadniki SV pod ekstremno rizičnimi pogoji in veliko obremenitvijo ustrezno in učinkovito upravljati z zračnim plovilom. Zahtevno in dolgotrajno šolanje skrajšuje čas za operativno sposobnost posameznikov za uspešno izvajanje letalskih nalog. Namen pričujoče raziskave je bil ugotoviti vpliv starosti na gibalne sposobnosti letalskih in helikopterskih posadk. V raziskavo je bilo zajetih 69 pripadnikov letalskih in helikopterskih posadk SV v testni skupini in 69 pripadnikov SV iste starosti v kontrolni skupini. Podatke smo izbrali s pomočjo naslednjih testov: sklece, dviganje trupa in tek na 3200m. Podatki so obdelani s statističnim programom SPSS verzija 20.0.

Abstract:The profession of military pilot and technician requires a high rate of psychophysical abilities as they must operate an air vessel properly and efficiently under the extreme conditions of high risk and high load by means of air navigation. Complex and time consuming training reduces the operational ability of individuals to successfully implement flight tasks. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of age on physical fitness of aircraft and helicopter crews. The research included 69 members of aircraft and helicopter crews of Slovenian Armed Forces in the test group and 69 members of Slovenian Armed Forces of the same age in control group. Data were selected using the following tests: push-ups, sit-ups and running on 3200m. Data are processed by statistical program SPSS version 20.0. We calculate basic statistical parameters for each variable. For analysis of the interactions of age with other variables, we used the Pearson correlation coefficient. The results indicated that there was a statistically significant connectivity between age and other three variables. Age significantly affects the physical fitness of flight crew members. This impact is smaller on muscular endurance of the shoulder girdle than on muscular endurance of the trunk and aerobic capacity. This impact indicates a greater burden on the spine than on shoulder girdle. A cause of concern is also the influence of age on the aerobic capacity. The study provides a starting point for further research of the impact of age on physical fitness and may represent a starting point for determining the objectives of physical training of flight crews of the Slovenian Armed Forces
