Abstract:V naslednjih desetletjih bomo soočeni s pridobivanjem gospodarske in vojaške moči novih hitro rastočih gospodarstev držav BRICS - Brazilije, Rusije, Indije, Kitajske in Južnoafriške republike. To bo pomenilo prehod iz unipolarnega v multipolaren svet. Edina velesila ZDA se bo skupaj z velikimi silami soočala z selitvijo moči in družbenega bogastva na jug in vzhod zemeljske oble. Ker je v preteklosti sprememba moči pomenila vojne, se osredotočam na vprašanje kakšen bo ta prehod, kakšne bodo posledice tega prehoda. Moč in varnost v mednarodnih odnosih sta pojma, ki sta predmet proučevanja različnih teoretskih smeri. Ker nobena ne daje odgovore na vsa vprašanja, naloga odkriva različne poglede in na osnovi njih daje odgovore na vprašanje, ali bo sprememba moči vplivala na varnost in stabilnost mednarodnega sistema. Posebej pa me zanima, kakšne bodo možne posledice za EU in Slovenijo v okviru nje.

Abstract:In the following decades, we will be confronted with the acquisition of economic and military power of the new emerging economies of the BRICS - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. This will mean a transition from unipolar to multipolar world. The only superpower, the U.S, together with the Great powers will be faced with the shifting of power and social wealth to the South and East of the globe. As in the past, change of power can mean the war. My focus is on the question, how the transition will affect the international stability and security. Power and security in international relations are the concepts that are the subject of study of different theoretical directions. Since none of them gives any answers, this work will try to reveal different views on the subject and on their basis the answers to the question, whether the changes will have an impact on the safety and stability of the international system. In particular, I am interested in what will be the possible consequences for the EU and Slovenia within it.
