Abstract:	Pravočasne in kvalitetne informacije so potrebne za učinkovito delo odločevalcev za delovanje v celotnem spektru. Na obrambnem področju Republike Slovenije obstajata instituciji, ki opravljata obveščevalno varnostno dejavnost. V sklopu Ministrstva za obrambo je to Obveščevalno varnostna služba, za potrebe Slovenske vojske pa vojaško obveščevalno protiobveščevalno in varnostno dejavnost izvajajo štabni organi. Reorganizacija - transformacija Slovenske vojske je priložnost, da se obveščevalno varnostna dejavnost v Slovenski vojski ustrezno organizira, s ciljem zagotavljanja pravočasnih in kvalitetnih obveščevalnih produktov tako v nacionalnem kot mednarodnem okolju na način, da bo zmožna slediti trendom in zagotavljati informacije v realnem času.

In the defense system of the Republic of Slovenia, there are institutions that perform security and intelligence activities. Institution within the Ministry of Defense is Intelligence and Security Service, while for the Slovenian Army activities of military intelligence counter-intelligence and security are implemented by headquarter security and intelligence branch. Reorganization - the transformation of the Slovenian Armed Forces presents an opportunity to implement appropriate organization of intelligence and security activities within Slovenian Army in order to provide timely and high-quality intelligence products in both the national and international environment in a way that will be able to follow the trend and provide information in real-time.
