| Jezik: | Angleški jezik | Opis: | Slovenian Officers and Non-commissioned officers Union (SONCOU) was established in the first years of independency of Republic Slovenia and it hasbeen changed and modified through its history just as our society and international environment has changed during the times. Based on pillars of democratic society SONCOU had to reorganize and re-establish itself, to establish new relations inside the union and also relations to Slovenian civilian society as well. The union nowadays is recognisable not just in the Slovenian society; it is also actively involved in the international environment where the union presents itself as a significant part of Sloveniancivilian society, which gives the support to reinforcement and comprehension of Slovenian Armed Forces (SAF). Final paper presents cooperation between SONCOU and Slovenian Armed Forces in reinforcing the role of SAF in civilian environment and investigates links and relations important for Slovenian defence system. Basic presumption of the paper lies in a fact whether the existence of SONCOU, its methods and activities help in reinforcing the role of SAF in the civilan environment. This cooperation is very important for further development and invigoration of SAF and for correctcomprehension of social environment particularly now, in the time of global crisis. In the future the critical challenge for SONCOU will be reorganization.
