Abstract:Gorski svet je zaradi svojih lastnosti težavno zemljišče za izvajanje bojnega delovanja, pa naj si bo to napad ali pa obramba. Zaradi reliefne strukture je mobilnost vozil omejena zgolj na alpske doline, povečini pa je edina možnost premikanja enot po gorskih poteh, torej brez vozil. Izrazit vpliv na bojno delovanje enot lahko predstavljajo tudi vremenske (sneg, mraz, veter,.), ki pogojujejo način bojevanja na tovrstnem zemljišču. Težavnost bojiščnega prostora v gorskem svetu narekuje pridobivanje čim več podatkov ter informacijo zemljišču in vremenu, saj lahko le na podlagi obsega in celovitosti tovrstnih informacij izdelamo ustrezno taktiko za delovanje (npr. čete) ter si na ta način pridobimo prednost pred nasprotnikom. V tem kontekstu ima celovita in kontinuirana obveščevalna priprava bojišča izrazito pomembno vlogo za sprejem ustrezne odločitve poveljnika za delovanje enote v pogojih omejene mobilnosti, omejenega manevra in drugih omejujočih dejavnikov,ki jih predstavlja gorsko zemljišče.

Abstract:Due to its characteristics mountain terrain makes a difficult land for practicing combat activity, whether we talk about the attack or the defence. The movement of vehicles is limited to Alpine valleys because of the relief structure. Most of the time the only option for the units to move are mountainpaths (on foot). The weather also has a big influence on mountain warfare, it makes it difficult for the units to function (snow, cold, wind ...). Because of the difficulty of the terrain in the mountains it is necessary to obtain as many data and information about the land as possible. The obtained information is essential in planning a proper strategy for the functioning (of the company). In this way we gain an advantage over the enemy.The intelligence preparation of the battlefield plays an important role here where up-to-date and accurate data and information have to compensate for the limited maneuver, limited mobility of the units and all aggravative factors that the mountain terrain presents.
