Zmogljivosti in bojna moč pehotne (motorizirane) čete so potrebne dopolnitve. 2.

Title:Mission and capabilities of infantry (motorised) company in offensive operations
Abstract:Infantry (motorised) company represents beside infantry (motorised) platoon in Slovenian Armed Forces basic units of battle operations. As such it is carrier of tasks related with defense of Republic of Slovenia and Alliance aswell. For execution of tasks it is therefore necessary that unit is by all parameters comaprable with other similar units, for what a comapative analysis has to be done. In recent period within Aliance requests for more intense involvement of units in operations. Objections are directed predominanty towards the allied units, which are not taking part in offensive actions, for instance in Iraq or Afghanistan. On the other hand forces, preparing for less intense operations such as peace keeping, losing important knowlidge and skills in ofensive actions. Since Peace Support Operations usualy does not requests firepower, this aspect generates above stated consquences In this final paper I am working on two hypothesis: 1. Capabilities and battlepower of motorised (infantry) company are in need of improvement. 2. Taking in account suggested measures for reduction of deficencies capabilities of company on fields of firepower, armoured protection and (command and control) and consequently batalion are increased.
