Abstract:Z razvojem vojaške obrambe po osamosvojitvi Slovenije se je vse bolj izpostavljala potreba po drugačnem, predvsem sodobnejšem organiziranju vojaške obrambe, s katero bi bilo zagotovljeno doseganje novih doktrinarnih in strateških obrambnih načel. Odločitev o profesionalizaciji Slovenske vojske leta 2002 in uresničevanje akcijskih načrtov članstva v NATU sta tako zahtevala največjo in najbolj temeljito reorganizacijo Slovenske vojske, ki bo potekala do leta 2010. Reorganizacija poteka na več ravneh, najpomembnejša pa je na kadrovski ravni, katere cilj je doseči ustrezno in učinkovito razmerje med poklicnimi vojaki, podčastniki in častniki. Pridobivanje kadra za profesionalno vojsko je zahtevna naloga, s katero Slovenska vojska ni imela posebnih izkušenj in je na trgu delovne sile prvič nastopila kot velik delodajalec. V pridobivanje kadra za profesionalno vojsko je vključen proces promocije, pridobivanja in izbora kadra, izobraževanja in usposabljanja, zadrževanja v službi, omogočanja dobrih delovnih pogojev in skrbi za pripadnike vojske, skrbi za kariero in drugo kariero nekdanjih pripadnikov po odhodu iz vojaške službe. Samo ustrezno motiviran pripadnik Slovenske vojske, ki bo zadovoljen s svojim delom in statusom, bo namreč v celoti izpolnjeval svoje poslanstvo.

Abstract:Since the independence of Slovenia the Slovenian Armed Forces have been in the process of necessary improvements to a different, more contemporary organisation of military defence in order to ensure the achievement of new doctrines and strategic defensary principals. The decision on the professionalisation of the Slovenian Armed Forces in 2002 and the implementation of NATO Membership demanded the greatest and the most radical reorganisation of the Slovenian Armed Forces which is to be completed by 2010. The reorganisation is being conducted in several levels, in particular on the human resources area, focus of which is to attain an adequate ratio between professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers. Recruitment of professional soldiers is a complex task. The Slovenian Armed Forces appeared for the first time on the labour market with no experience as a great employer. Recruitment of professional soldiers involves extensive publicity, recruitment and selection, education and training, a retention policy, adequate working conditions and benifits for the soldiers, arrangements for a second career for service members. Only an adequately motivated service member of the Slovenian Armed Forces satsfied with his job and social position will fulfil his mission.
