Abstract:Nosilec razvoja kartografskega sistema za obrambne potrebe je Sektor za načrtovanje Direktorata za obrambne zadeve. Sektor razvija in načrtuje kartografski sistem po standardih Nata. Ob tem upošteva potrebe uporabnikov v Ministrstvu za obrambo in jih usklajuje z interesi Geodetske uprave Republike Slovenije, saj priprava ter izdelava vojaških in civilnih kart zaradi gospodarnosti v velikem delu potekata hkrati. Sektor sodeluje pri pripravi razpisne dokumentacije za posamezne projekte, spremlja izvajanje pogodbenih del, nadzoruje izdelavo kart pri izvajalcih, skrbi za obnovo in ponatise ter distribucijo kartografskega gradiva. Razvoj kartografskega sistema zahteva mednarodno sodelovanje, saj se kartiranje ne konča na državni meji. Sklenjeni medsebojni sporazumi omogočajo izmenjavo geografskih podatkov. Sektor spremlja razvoj Natovih standardov na geoprostorskem področju in skrbi za njihovo uvajanje v slovenske vojaške standarde.

Title:Katalog kartografskega gradiva
Abstract:The Planning Division of the Defence Affairs Directorate is responsible for the development of the cartographic system for defence purposes. The Division develops and plans the cartographic system in line with NATO standards. In doing so it considers the needs of users within the Ministry of Defence and coordinates them with the interests of the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia, as the preparation and production of military and civil maps are, due to financial reasons, for the most part, similar. The Division participates in the preparation of tender documentation for individual projects. It also monitors the implementation of contract work, controls the map production of its contractors, deals with the updating and reproduction of maps, and with the distribution of maps and charts. The development of the cartographic system requires international cooperation as the mapping process does not end at state borders. Mutual agreements enable the exchange of geographic data. The Division monitors the development of geospatial NATO standards and is responsible for their integration into Slovenian military standards.
