Abstract:	Vojaška obveščevalna dejavnost je eden izmed pomembnejših dejavnikov za uspešno izvajanje bojevanja na vseh ravneh. V današnjem kompleksnem in hitro spreminjajočem se varnostnem okolju je še toliko pomembnejša. Vojna v Ukrajini je znova pokazala, da je pravočasna in točna obveščevalna priprava odločilna za doseganje prevlade na bojišču, še posebej, če je razmerje sil med nasprotnikoma izrazito neenako. V prispevku sta predstavljena pomen te dejavnosti in pregled nekaterih tujih struktur na področju vojaške obveščevalne dejavnosti z namenom iskanja primernejše strukture v obrambnem sistemu Republike Slovenije.
